Visiting Rimini
imini is not just the city that gets crowded in the summer and teems with clubs and nightlife. It is first of all an ancient Roman town rich in monuments and works of art.
A visit to the city can start from the Arch of Augustus, the oldest Roman triumphal arch in our country, the city gate from which Corso d’ Augusto, the street that runs through the historic center, starts. Walking along it, one reaches Piazza Cavour, with its Renaissance and neoclassical buildings. One of the most important testimonies of the Roman period is definitely the Tiberius Bridge, still white and imposing on the water. Also not to be missed are the Malatesta Temple, the Surgeon’s Domus and the Old Fish Market.
If you’re a movie buff, you can’t miss a tour of the colorful houses and murals of Borgo San Giuliano, the working-class neighborhood that was the birthplace of Federico Fellini and that reminds you of him at every turn.
Se sei appassionato di cinema non potete non lasciarvi trasportare dalle casae colorate e dai murales del Borgo San Giuliano, il quartiere popolare che ha dato i natali a Federico Fellini e che lo ricorda ad ogni angolo.
